Welcome to the beta of umgumbo - an immersive learning environment set in outer space and designed to make learning fun. Umgumbo lets children build up their own personalised learning space in a virtual 3D mind map that draws on kinaesthetic and visual learning styles.
Building on budding IT skills, children can easily select information from the internet, dragging and dropping data, images, flash video or website links onto objects they have chosen to place in their own space station.
Kids can have fun exploring space in their own personal space vehicle, learn to dock with a space station and maybe get a job with NASA!
